Module IV

Teaching and Assessment II

Berlin

In this module, participants learn the methods, benefits, and goals of Case-Based Learning (CBL). They develop and implement CBL cases, gaining skills in applying various teaching methods for practical skills training. The module covers effective methods for clinical teaching, including interdisciplinary learning, simulation-based training, and teaching with patients. It also addresses teaching in outpatient settings and public health. Additionally, innovative online teaching and learning formats are introduced and explored in depth.

  • Monday
    Introduction to the module week
Focus on Case-Based Learning (CBL): concepts and implementation, including Problem-Based Learning (PBL), classical CBL, Case-Based Reasoning (CBR), and use of reasoning strategies like illness scripts
Execution of self-created CBL cases, followed by reflection on their use and moderation
