Module I – Curriculum Development
This module provides participants with a conceptual foundation for structured curriculum development using Kern’s six-step model.
Module II – Communication in the Team
The module comprises three components: communication in relationships, communication in organizations/project management, and communication through presentations.
Module III – Teaching and Assessment I - Basics and digital implementation
This MME module is the only module to be conducted exclusively digitally. It is about essential basic concepts of teaching and written examination forms. Also, it demonstrates how digital teaching and examinations can run in a sound manner.
Module IV – Teaching and Assessment II
Participants learn about the method, benefits, and objectives of Case-Based Learning (CBL) in this module.
Module V – Teaching and Assessment III
This module focuses on aligning teaching and OSCE exams with key themes such as communication, interprofessionalism, and planetary health. Structured oral exams (SMP) are also simulated.
Module VI – Educational Research
The goal is to deepen the educational research foundations established in Modules 0, IV, and V, and prepare participants to conduct a research study for their master's thesis.
Module VII – Leadership and Faculty Development
Medical teaching, like other fields, involves innovation and change processes. This module prepares participants to handle resistance to change and effectively lead these processes.
Module VIII – Evaluation of a Medical Training Institution
This module focuses on the model-based evaluation of a domestic or international medical school.
Module IX – Elective Module
Since 2013, the elective module has allowed students to further their education in medical training beyond the core curriculum.
