Module VII

Leadership and Faculty Development

Dresden

Work in medical education, as in other fields, involves innovations and change processes. Such changes often encounter resistance, which requires individuals with the skills and knowledge to facilitate the process. This module focuses on recognizing conflicts, analyzing behaviors and situations, managing communication in a person- and situation-appropriate manner, and negotiating with stakeholders. Successfully applying these skills places individuals in leadership roles. Understanding one's leadership role influences the outcomes of change processes.
The overarching goal of this module is to learn and apply strategies and methods to initiate and successfully carry out change processes.
